The Dementia Advocate™ is a faith-driven advocacy and education organization dedicated to protecting the dignity, identity, and quality of life of individuals living with dementia while empowering caregivers with practical guidance, trusted education, and compassionate support. Founded through personal experience caring for a loved one with Lewy Body Dementia, our mission is rooted in Christian values of love, compassion, integrity, and service. We believe every person is created in the image of God and deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, patience, and purpose throughout every stage of the dementia journey. Through education, advocacy, resources, and community outreach, The Dementia Advocate™ equips caregivers, families, and care professionals to provide person-centered dementia care while encouraging others to become confident advocates for those who can no longer advocate for themselves. This Little House of Mine is a pillar of support for families with general needs and for families in crisis — and, if needed, can provide resources for children in need of temporary or permanent placement into a loving Christian family home. Every need is unique! As we discover a family’s need, we do our best to come alongside the family and provide support as best we can. Support can include: Provision of food, medical supplies & resources Provision of household items — beds, furniture, kitchenware and more Resources for counseling — for marriages, children and families Housing resources for children, teens and single moms Educational coaching & career mentoring Trade school opportunities for further education
