If you’re reading roofing company reviews then you’ve probably found a water stain on your ceiling or know your original roofing is more than 15 years old and you’re on borrowed time. Let me tell you, you’re on the right page. BlackHorse roofing just replaced the underlayment of my 17 year old tile roof (we found a telltale stain on the ceiling and knew it was time). I can’t speak highly enough of the company from beginning to end. They impressed and guided us through the process. Their representative, Jared Lovett, spent no less than an hour and a half with us from greeting through roof inspection (complete with photos) and then providing all the information we needed to make an informed decision. Did we need a patch? Is it time for a full underlayment replacement? What kind of underlayment is recommended for a Phoenix area tile roof, how about the flat patio roof? Our questions were never ending as was Jared’s patience. All in all the first impression was impressive. The crew continued to dazzle us. They appeared on time, got right to work, politely answered even more questions, kept the yard cleaned up on a continual basis (not just a hasty pickup at the end of the day). The final product? Awesome. They hid all the new tile (several rows) where nobody would ever see them from the ground. They installed additional venting to help keep the attic ventilated and as cool as possible during our toasty summer months. They even painted all of the brand new roof vents to match the tile. One telling note, it seems most (maybe all) of the crew members had worked for other roofing companies. They have nothing but praise for BlackHorse and the way the company does business. They demand the highest quality work and if there’s an issue? It’s covered by a ten year workmanship warranty in addition to the lengthy warranty available from the underlayment manufacturer. BlackHorse Roofing and Construction offers a standard of excellence other companies should match (but often do not).
