I recently had a deck installed at the back of my hime, and I can’t say enough good things about Sean and his crew. From start to finish, they were friendly, professional, and incredibly easy to work with. Sean is a true craftsman who takes real pride in his work. The attention to detail was outstanding, and it truly shows in the finished product—the deck came out absolutely beautiful. I’ve already received so many compliments on it. What really stood out was their integrity. They ended up replacing some of the support posts that needed attention and didn’t charge extra for it, which speaks volumes about their character and commitment to doing the job right. They also left the yard impeccably clean, which I really appreciated. All in all, Sean was a pleasure to deal with, and I would highly recommend him and his team to anyone. In fact, I already have!

I have used Decks by Decker for about 15 years with at least a dozen projects on my main home and vacation home. These projects included one bathroom, three decks, one basement, one bathroom, a garage reconstruction project, a foundation reinforcement project, a driveway resurfacing, complete set of landscape lighting at both houses, a tile floor of the kitchen, dining room, and living room of my vacation house which also required a basement ceiling reinforcement to handle the increase weight of the ceramic tiles, stone block driveway and walkways of my main house (and soon to be done driveway at my vacation house), a siding and roof replacement of my vacation house, and a total exterior cedar tile and roof replacement at my main house, window and shutter replacement, drainage problems taken care of, 8and innumerable small odds and ends like shaving down doors after new carpets were installed (the small stuff, without charge, probably because I gave him so much work). The CEO of this company, Sean Decker, is meticulous when it comes to quality and when the job is finished, there can be no unfinished details and the customer has to be 100.00% satisfied. Sean Decker is immensely creative in finding solutions to construction problems and issues, takes care of any regulation issues and follows strict adherence to all current local building code specs and when required, even exceeds them. Mr. Decker has expertise in most fields of home construction, any when he has to sub-contract out any work like plumbing, AC, or real heavy electrical work, he uses only the best sub-contractors and watches them like a hawk to make sure they never deviate from his own compulsive do-it-right standards . He is capable of building a house up from the hole dug for the foundation, and he totally built his own new home after an unfortunate fire destroyed his original house. His invoices are detailed, provides the necessary capital improvement forms for tax purposes, and part paymens are made as the work is done. Unquestionably, if you live on Long Island or in Eastern Queens, if you need construction of any type on your house, Decks by Decker is the goto firm to have it done.

If I could give Sean Decker and his crew more than five stars, I would. Our deck remodel became an emergency after a collapsed support beam made it unsafe just days before Thanksgiving. After calling numerous contractors, Sean was one of only two who responded, and the only one who came out the very same day to assess the situation. From our first meeting, Sean impressed us with his honesty, professionalism, and genuine commitment to doing what was right for his customer. There were no sales tactics or pressure, just straightforward advice and exceptional customer service. Despite an incredibly tight timeline and challenging winter weather, Sean and his hardworking crew completed our project on schedule without compromising quality. My husband and I have owned several homes over our 34 years of marriage, and without question, Sean Decker is the finest contractor we have ever hired. The craftsmanship exceeded every expectation, and we've proudly shared photos of our beautiful new deck with family and friends around the world, all of whom have been amazed by the results.
